Ashley Fink, who you probably know as sass-master Lauren Zizes on Glee, has had quite the year!

From going to her first Golden Globes ceremony, to touring the country (and then some!) with the whole Gleegang, there is much more in store for her in the coming months.

Ash just started filming the third season of the hit FOX show, and Celebuzz was lucky enough to snag some time with her to get some scoop on the highly-anticipated third season, favorite tour memories and much more!

Fink brings plus-sized cheer to ‘Glee’
When she was 3, Ashley Fink would put on performances for her parents and charge them admission.

“I’m no sucker,” Fink said and then laughed during a recent interview in Los Angeles.

Fink brings the same irreverent sense of humor to her “Glee” character, Lauren Zizes. The 24-year-old began the recurring role as the plus-sized high school student in the hit show’s first season. Last year, Lauren joined New Directions and embarked on a romance with Puck (Mark Salling). Before Lauren would date the football player, however, she insisted that Puck court her.

“Lauren is atypical for people on television, but the fact is, she’s not atypical in life,” Fink said. “She’s the only adolescent girl who demanded a guy respect her and demand a guy step up. I think part and parcel to the whole high school experience is self-esteem issues. So for the character of Lauren to have the self-esteem I think is brilliant.”

The Houston native previously had roles in the ABC Family series “Huge” and the movie “You Again.” But nothing compares to “Glee.”

“Looking at my life a year ago and now, it’s crazy to think about,” she said. “The response I’ve gotten from the fans is an overwhelming sense of feeling that they’re represented whether they’re chubby, whether they’re not. Anyone that’s ever felt ‘other.’”

She doesn’t stress about being a role model. “I don’t wake up and think, ‘I’m going to be plus-sized and I’m going to be on “Glee.” ’ I wake up and I’m me. I’m totally happy to represent and I’m honored.”

The 24-year-old, who also can be seen in “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie,” recently returned to the set to begin filming the show’s third season. She doesn’t know what’s in store for Lauren, if she’ll graduate this year or even how many episodes she will be in this season.

“I’ve never known,” she said. “I know it’s so cliche and people are always like, ‘God, you’re so boring.’ But I’m just so happy to be there and hang out with all the kids and sing and dance. I don’t worry about it too much.”
